Don't get me wrong. Sarah Palin is a very attractive woman and has the" bones" to be stylish but I don't think she really knows how. Maybe she doesn't care. I somehow think she does.
It is a bunch of little things that she does or doesn't do that have her falling short. Her suits are too stiff and too average for her looks. The colors are too primary when they should have nuance.
The blue isn't quite right for the style. Should be very dark if stiff and a softer shape if this electric blue. Don't like the 3/4 sleeves. Kinda old fashion. I don't like the stand up collars she wears all the time. Too stiff and harsh for her. Let's look at another
I don't like anything about this, the collar, the 3/4 sleeves, the big black buttons, the boxy style. It looks cheap!
Again (above). I don't like anything about this outfit. I think it's too tight and the jacket is too short,the 3/4 sleeves again. I don't like the boots. I would rather have black opaque stockings. I don't like the low top under the jacket. If she wears boots she needs the weight of a higher neck under the jacket.
It's a bunch of little things and it takes years to get these things down.
Let's compare this with Kate Middleton's style. Both are very conservative so it's good comparison I think, except that Kate has style .
This suit is perfect! I love the color for the style. The length is very young and fresh but conservative. I love the small collar and the length of the jacket and the length of sleeves(longer is better). Shoes are perfect, not too dainty. They have weight but not too high fashion for the conservative look. She hits all the notes here.
The red suit(below) is perfect as well. Compare with Sarah Palin's. I love the collar with the black sweater under instead of high stiff collar or the low tank in second Palin shot. I love the length of jacket which is longer than Sarah Palin's. The buttons are smaller as well and the sleeve length is correct
I love the gloves to match the weight of the t-neck. She is wearing black opaque stockings which continues the weight of this perfect "cool day" outfit. Her hair isn't a distraction as it always is with Sarah Palin and the less is more makeup is much better.
I could go on and on as I will in next post. There is soooo much to talk about here.
