I designed my first ski suit and had it made! 1977

This is more or less what it looked like. It was skin tight, full stretch with a stand up collar and zipper down the front. It was canary yellow with a turquoise stripe down the sleeves and legs. It went inside your boots, which was cool then. I had it made in Vancouver by a tailor who's co was named Alpine Joe's. I went out there for fittings and everything. He made a black and red one for me too but the yellow was the talk of Banff I am sure. I think from the get go all the locals thought I was from Mars. No one wore things like that. I guess I just thought it was  new ski fashion and it was O.K. I was a little nuts! Did I say "was". Sorry! Am.
